Description (1957) Standard 2-6-4T's, 'Class 4', passenger tank based on the numerous class built for the L. M. S. by Stanier and Fairburn, originating from Sir Henry Fowler's design of 1927. The class has 5' 8" wheels and 2 outside cylinders 18" x 28". They were built from 1951 onwards and construction continued until 1957.
