Description (1957) Class Y7. N.E.R. Worsdell 3'5" 0-4-0T's, initially a class of 24 engines built between 1888 and 1923. Of the two surviving locomotives, 68088 finished up on Departmental duties at Stratford (finally allocated Service No. D34 but not carried), while No. 68089 worked the last passenger trains on the North Sunderland Railway. Both were sold in 1952, the second to a firm of contractors for constructional work on Morecambe promenade, where the engine was still to be seen in 1954.
