| Description (1957) |
Class Q4, Robinson G.C.R. 0-8-0's, originally 89 engines built between 1902-11, with 4'8"wheels and 2 outside cylinders. Several of the class were superheated and some were fitted with piston valves. The class as a whole was withdrawn from 1934 onwards. It is interesting to note that 13 locomotives of this class were rebuilt as tank engines, see Nos. 69925-69937. |
