Renewals of 2-4-0T. As with all renewals, barely any, if at all, material was used and these engines are effectively new. Extended version of the 2-4-0T. Originally built for local traffic but then found to be ideal for motor work - almost all were converted as such later on (although 20 were fitted from new). Vacuum brakes fitted from 1912. Five were rebuilt as 2-4-0Ts. |
