27/02/1953 Pugs withdrawn The appearance of two 'Y9' Pugs in the latest withdrawal list is noteworthy: three were sold by the N.B.R. in 1921/2, and one was withdrawn in 1923 (1103) and another in 1938 (10087), since when the stock has remained constant at 33. No. 68092, withdrawn 27.2.53 was built in 1882 by Neilson & Co. (their No. 2935) as N.B. No. 546, and was the first of the class. When another No. 546 of the same class was built in 1899 it became 901, altered to 1101 in 1901, was to have been L.N.E. 9941 but actually became 10101, again altered to 8092 in 11/46 and 68092 in 2/49. No. 68111 was built in 1890 at Cowlairs as No. 50, and was replaced by a new No. 50 of the same class in 1897: later numbers were 895, 1095, (9936), 10095, 8111 (8/46) and 68111 (3/48). SLS/195306
